Significance of WW1 - The Last Post

When do you hear this song? It is played on Remembrance Day, on ANZAC Day, sounded at the sited of memorials in the United States, and serves as the background song at the funerals and memorials of those lost in service to their country worldwide. Every ANZAC day they they will play this song while people are having a moment of silence.

Why is this song significant/important to New Zealand? This is important to New Zealand because they sent soldiers to fight along with the British Empire.

What is the History behind the Last post - Why was it played and when? It is played to military funerals and commemorative services as a final farewell and symbolises that the duty of the dead is over and that they can rest in peace.
