Arts Kete

In the last few weeks we did our Arts Kete, I choose lazer cutting because the one I want was already full. In my arts kete we designed the thing we want to lazer cut in a paper, others did Maori designs, and cool patterns and  my first Idea was a clock with the purpose word in it then I started to draw it and I came up with another Idea and it was a wood with the word 'Live With Purpose'. Few days later When we did our final design I thought of cutting the wood in half and cut out the P,U,R letters then place it in a paper and then in the other half ill cut out POSE letters in the wood then ill take the wood and place it in the paper.

Kumusta, today I learned FACKTS mapping and I tried making one. This was my first try making it and it was just a practise one. If you didn't know FACKTS means Frame, Arrow, Colour, Key, Title and Scale. Have a great day BYE!!

C.I.P Whole Term

This term in our C.I.P we did something about kindness. I participated on gym sports but I lost my P.E gear so I just stayed in our C.I.P. I learned a lot about kindness in this C.I.P we did a lot of blog post and my favourite is the letter we made, we also did a letter to Ms. Flores, All the year 7/8's that has ESOL gathered together and wrote their name and a message in the letter because Ms. Flores was away for a long time and I hope she liked it. Today and last week we are doing a colouring competition for the 3 school, we did poster and letter to paper plus, subway and more... This is the photo of poster that me and Alex did.

Next C.I.P I want is drawing because I really really like drawing, It is really my favourite thing to do when I'm bored. This is the photo of the poster me and Alex made.

Learning story

For the past weeks we’ve been doing Hurumanu Music and blogging.

My favourite part was doing the decade music, 1900’s to 2010’s. I liked it because we had to partner
someone from the other class ‘‘Tz’’. Also the Garage band same as the decade music but 3 people and
we got to do other cool instrument.

For the other ones we did biography about solo singers and bands we had to research about them. Also
we did a blog post about ASMR, "ASMR is triggered by things like whispering voices, paper tearing, and
scalp massage", and we also learned some other instruments like French Horn and more…

I learned a lot in our Hurumanu Music. We had to learn some different musicians and the thing I don’t like
about is We had to do a lot of blogging like in Science.

Goals

This time I have achieved ‘’I ask for help when I don’t understand what to do’’ and ‘’I am a curious learner -
I ask questions’’ also ‘’I can be trusted to use my device for the task I am meant to be doing’’. Next time on
our new Hurumanu I will be focused on those goals that  I haven’t achieved.

Music Descriptive Writing

LO: Create a piece of writing that describes a place or setting inspired by your song.

A room surrounded by magical brass instruments, my mind starts to erupt with a never-ending ideas that are coming out in my mind. The instrument sounded like a bird chirping in the tree, the beat of drums were relaxing like a person eating a ice cream in a hot sunny day. The melody blended together like a shiny stars and dark sky and the piano sounded like a hail and rain coming out in the dark clouds and hitting the roof like a sweet beat of drums.

What are the rules/how to play?  Played for 4 quarters or 2 halves of a set time, teams alternate roles of Kīoma and Taniwha at half or quarter time. Kīoma score by touching Pou/s with the Kī (for potential points) then running the Kī through Te Roto and placing it down in Pawero to convert pou touches into points.
